Accident Trend Analysis
An “accident” is defined as an unplanned, undesired event that results in personal injury or property damage. The goal of an accident investigation is to prevent future incidents by identifying the root cause of the accident and using that knowledge to correct the problem. If you can correct the root cause, you can probably stop an accident trend from developing. Complete a detailed loss analysis monthly. Use this analysis tool to write safe workplace objectives for the coming year that can guide your company’s safety program. This service can be conducted retro-actively for any period of time. This report also complies with the US DOT regulation 390.15(a)(1) “Make all records and information pertaining to an accident available to an authorized representative or special agent of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration”.
